Technology Wiki
All SCIS Students grades 5-12 are provided an e-mail account through Google. This e-mail account is to be the primary email used between students & staff.
To access it go to: http://www.google.com/a/scisstudents.org and login.
The Default password is your username in all capital letters: i.e. for user kamd55213 the password would be KAMD55213
To Use Apple Mail
If you want to use Apple Mail first you need to enable Gmail so you can use mail.
Login to your e-mail and click on settings.
Then click on Forwarding Pop/IMAP
Then enable IMAP and save
To Connect Apple Mail you can first launch mail
Then Go to Mail-->Preferences
Click on Accounts and the + sign.
Then enter your name and e-mail address (@scisstudents.org) and password.
Then click Continue.
Choose Account Type IMAP and the incomming server imap.gmail.com Then enter your e-mail address as the username and your password.
Then hit continue.
Next enter smtp.gmail.com for the outgoing server and your e-mail address & password for the username/password.
Then hit continue and Take the account online.
Now Enjoy using Apple mail with scisstudents.org
