How to Connect to Calendars
Before doing anything log into: https://calendar.scischina.org/ical/
To connect to a calendar in iCal go to:
iCal-->Preferences-->Accounts
Then hit the + Sign
Choose Account Type: CalDAV
Enter your username & password
Calendar Address: https://calendar.scischina.org/ical/caldav.php/CALENDARGROUPNAME

- Then add a textbox
- Put the text in
- Change the textbox so that it's transparent with no border
- Then get the text entered and send the e-mail

How to upload an iWeb Site via FTP
Using an FTP Client
Step 1:
Go to: http://filezilla-project.org/
Download Filezilla for Mac and install it (by unzipping the file and Dragging the program into Applications).
Step 2:
Publish your iweb site to a folder on your desktop
Step 3:
Launch FileZilla
Go to File-->Site Manager
Then Create A New Site
Fill in:
Host: www.scischina.org
Login Type: Normal
Username: YOURUSERNAME
Password: Your Password
In the Advanced Tab go to Remote Directory and fill in:
/www/Blog.SCISChina.org/USERNAME Where USERNAME is your username.
Then you can hit ok and connect.
Find the folder you published your iweb site to and highlight them and rightclick and hit upload.

How to Embed A Podcast
To Embed a Podcast:
1). Create a video or audio recording. You can do it with iMovie or Garage Band. You can find instructions in How to Create a Podcast.
2). Open the website podcast.scischina.org, click the button for Podcast Capture and login with your school username and password
3). Click "Open a File", then "Choose a file" and choose the video or audio recording that you used from iMovie or Garageband. This only works if you "SHARE" your file from those programs.
4.) Open the website: http://podcast.scischina.org:8171/podcastproducer/ and click on the Podcast library
5). Find your podcast (it takes 5-15 minutes after you submit the video, until it appears).
6). Right click on the link to copy the link to the podcast and then go into your wordpress.
7). In a post or Page look at the bottom for this:
8). Then paste the link into the Media URL button.
9). When you publish the page or Post the video/audio will be embedded.
Providing a link to a server in email
Don't you hate it when people send you a message and tell you the file is on the Server and you spend far too much time looking for it and sometimes never find it! Well, watch the video. If everyone provided the path and/or a link in their email life would be that much better! Ok, so it is not solving world hunger but now you have some time to get to the big stuff!
Making a B & W Double Sided Printer Preset
Configuring a Printer Preset to always print Black and White Double Sided no matter what printer you print to. Return to the Standard preset if you need to print color.
