To enter Comments double click on the final grade for the student, or right-click on the grade and select show score inspector.


Then enter the comment where it says comment.


You can copy and paste from MS Word or Pages if you prefer.

Not to copy & paste, you need to use Command-->V or Control-->V on PC.

To Record Teacher Grades & Comments for Lower School Students go to:

Login

Then click on the
Next to Gradebook.

Then Launch the Java Web Start (in Safari or Chrome you may need to double click on the downloaded file.


In a few minutes the gradebook will launch

Then click on Final Grades


Then you can enter Standards grades & comments.

Remember the purpose of Reportcard comments.

1). Give teachers a status report and what the children are doing well.
2). Let parents & students know what they are not doing well in.
3). Give Parents & students suggestions on what they can do to improve.

How to enter Standards Grades & Comments via The Powerschool Gradebook

To Enter Standards grades in the Gradebook.
1). Login to PowerTeacher.
2). Launch gradebook.
3). When the gradebook launches click on Final Grades
4). Then you can enter grades. Columns with a C are comment fields, while others have a 1-4 scale
  • 1 = Area of Concern
  • 2 = Area of Development
  • 3 = Area of Competence
  • 4 = Area of Excellence

You can also enter NE for Not Evaluated and MC for Modified Curriculum. If you use MC or NE please note it in your teacher comments.

Teacher comments should:

1). State how the child is doing in class.
2). What he/she is doing well
3). What the child needs to improve on.
4). Strategies to realize that improvement.

If a student leaves your class, their grades are NOT deleted. They're just put in the dropped student section. Here is how you can export your grades for dropped students.
